Want to make a Yeast Starter? Home brewers are always led to believe making a yeast starter is for the advanced brewer. This could not be further from the truth. If anything beginning brewers should start with yeast starters. When you think about it they are nothing more than a small extract brew. Show Me How To Make A Yeast Starter

This is a beast of a yeast. I brewed a clone of Dogfish 120 minute IPA and was afraid that I wouldn't be able to obtain any decent abv. This yeast powered through 11lbs of corn sugar and only slowed down at the final 1/2lb, 5 days in. Definitely did the job.

Extremely short shelf life!!!

This was our first time buying a liquid yeast and it will probably be our last! We received this yeast with a shelf life of 10 DAYS!! I asked my brewing friend who has been doing this for a long time & he said that liquid yeast has a shorter shelf life than powder, but usually not that short. We had to completely change around the order of our brewing due to this short shelf life. I've never had any issues with any orders I've received from Austin Home Brew, but this one was extremely disappointing!
