Set of Four 5 Gallon Pin Lock Kegs (USED)

Description

This is a set of four used 5 gallon pin lock kegs. All kegs are pressure tested. Used kegs may have minor dings and scratches along with stickers from previous companies. Kegs will include the o-rings and poppets that were installed when received by AHS. We often change an o-ring or poppet to get the tank to hold pressure. It is a good idea to have a spare set of replacement o-rings always on hand, with some keg o-ring lubricant. Lubricating the o-rings will help to make them last longer, but eventually they will become brittle and have to be replaced.

If you plan to keg your homebrew then you will need kegs and a kegging system. 4 Kegs at such a low price makes it easier to always have a beer in the keg ready to serve, and to have a keg free to use when a batch is ready to go.

The keg requires pin lock attachments for both gas and beer sides.

Dimensions: 23" tall x 8.6" diameter (58.5 cm x 22 cm).

Good Keg Maintenance
Between each use, kegs need to cleaned and sanitized. Taking off the posts and cleaning them can help ensure great tasting beer.

Please remember these kegs are not being used in the soda industry any longer. Chances are, they are up to 30 years old. They have been used for Soda and might even come from a small brewery that purchased them from a soda company. They will have soda or beer residue inside which will require cleaning. The post may be sticky and difficult to get off as they have years of soda/beer build up in/on them. Please be prepared for a used product as we do not want to sugar coat this in any way. We are not stating that our used kegs are junk, we are simply stating, "These are used kegs".

Decent for the price

Bought the used kegs, so not expecting perfect by any means, but a couple of them were pretty rough with some damaged pieces. Even replacing the damaged parts, it's still way cheaper than buying brand new.

Good for Used and Price

What matters is the inside be smooth and free of scratches, for that, this is great. Pin locks work better for us because itís a home brew we keep in our kegerator and my mentor uses them. We got 4 because we are new brewers and we know the key is to not get backed up and always have a rotation goin. One of ours had little grayish spots on the bottom Iím thinking was mold but no tellin, I sanitized the heck out of it with a soft sponge and even kept pressurized cleaner in it to clean out the lines for a week. Another one had a ripped rubber handle, but thatís fine. All 4 were very dirty, especially the bottoms rubber. A DECENT bath and theyíre ready to go. Kegs ready for my custom logo stickers now. Three of the lids to the kegs didnít have a pressure release option. And one of the lids didnít have a rubber end on the closing handle so it scratched the keg every time I pull it shut. Some complaints but Iím just excited to brew. You bet Iím gonna buy new lids someday soon though.

Great value

I caught these on a great sale! I saved a ton of money buying used. I have never had any issues with any used keg I have purchased, I currently own 8. Do yourself a favor and get the replacement o-ring kit. Always the first thing I replace after I clean the new to me kegs.
