Better with aging

After brewing this, I didn't care too much for it so it's been sitting for over 6 months and unfortunately, in the high temperatures of the Arizona desert. I started drinking these recently and wow! What a difference time had made. Quite a strong flavor but not overly bitter. It's hard to drink only one. My favorite of all is the black ale but this is a close second.

Controlled fermentation yielded great beer

This was my second beer to brew after a number of years in retirement from homebrewing. I added a Bayite controller to a dorm fridge and got exceptional results. I generally prefer IPA, or stouts, but this beer had a perfect fermentation using US - 05. It resulted in a very chocolate beer with a rich head that had great retention. I loved it, the ladies loved it, everyone who was quick enough to get a taste loved it. There was not as much coffee flavor or aroma as I expected, but no one complained. I will grow my brewing skills with further renditions of this libation.

I brewed the partial mash version of this. Primary for 2 weeks, secondary for another 2. Bottled and aged. I opened the first one tonight after two weeks in the bottle and its a very good beer. Is it an exact clone? No, but its nearly impossible to get an exact clone for homebrewers. The beer I brewed has the same hop character up front, good mouthfeel, and a nice sweet finish on the back end. Similar to RMP, but not completely identical. In fact, its one of the top three beers I brewed in my 2 year brewing career. If you enjoy porters, don't hesitate to try this one

Rogue Mocha Porter is one of my favorite beers and this clone was nearly dead on. Will be brewing more of this for sure. I used the pacman yeast option and it's awesome!

Better than the namesake. Blind taste test with the old lady and friends, all picked the homebrew.
