I think I like this recipe even better than the Rogue it clones. Added all (4oz) of the Hazelnut flavoring which gives it a slightly stronger hazelnut flavor and aroma in my opinion which is why I like it more. Even before adding the Hazelnut it was delicious.

Very good Nut Brown. The hazelnut is not exactly like Rogues as the extract seems to blend in to all the other flavors as opposed to having it's own flavor event like Rogue does. Still an excellent brew. Make sure you drink this on the warmer side to get the flavors. Too cold and you lose the nuts.

I have this on tap right now and it turned out great. The flavor is spot on, except the hazlenut, which like the other poster said sort of blends in with the brew instead of having it's own kick. This is a fantastic brew that I'd most definately brew again!

I brewed this for the Emerald Coast Beer festival. Very good tasting brown ale. One of the best I have had. One exception was I wanted more hazelnut flavor so when I kegged, I added 1 tablespoon of Hazelnut extract I bought from Sam's. It was a HUGE hit at the festival. Keg floated quickly. I had one fella who wanted to know what brewery I was from so he could buy and serve at his pub! Side note, if you want it more of a after dinner (dessert) beer then add more hazelnut flavor. As its shipped its a very subtle almost lost taste of hazelnut. The 1 TBS I added of extract made it a noticeable flavor. Even more would push it to a dessert beer.

This is a great beer, took others suggestions and added 1 additional oz of hazelnut. This beer ages well and is worth the wait. Would def recommend
