Brewing as I type

Lots of Columbus hops, Iíve brewed this recipe through a different proprietor and so this will be interesting in comparison.

I brewed the extract version. I kegged it on Friday night. We had friends over on Sunday and everyone loved it. It isnt fully carbonated yet, but i was letting people have small tastes. I can't wait for it to be fully carbed and ready to go. The extract kit is amazingly close to the real deal. Highly recommend this beer!!

finished my last 16 oz bottle yesterday. Still "fresh" and full of flavor. Good head retention until the end. Will brew again, if I get the chance. Most AHS recipes are good enough to brew again, but there is only so much I can do. Cheers.

Brewed a 5 gallon all grain kit with no deviations from the recipe and I would have to say that it is one of the best beers I have brewed this year. I would recommend letting it condition in the bottle for at least a month as the more this conditions, the better it is. It had a very pronounced bitterness after opening the first bottle at 3 weeks, but over time it has mellowed and deepened in flavor and mouthfeel. Even though it is expensive I'd say give it a try as there is a reason for all of the hype...all of the 14 plus ounces of hops really add up to one incredible hop bomb of a beer!

I just tapped your Pliny the Elder clone this weekend and it is delicious! It's surprisingly smooth for 368 theoretical IBUs and the punch-you-in-your-face hop flavor and aroma are awesome. Based on the ~8% ABV I thought it might take a while to get through this keg, but after enjoying 4 or 5 pints with my brother-in-law this weekend I think it'll go much quicker than I originally expected!
