Firestone Walker Pale 31 (10A) - EXTRACT Homebrew Ingredient Kit

This was my best batch of beer yet!! I did the mini-mash version and it was fabulous. Great version of an APA. Will brew this again!!

Great kit. I am originally from the Central Coast and have been really missing my grade A Firestone beer. I was surprised to find a clone recipe. I was even more surprised when it turned out so good. Very, very good pale ale. tons of hop flavor and aroma. Firestone is known for their innovative hop usage and barrel aging. Last time I used a french press and made a "hop tea" out of the finishing hops instead of dry hopping. This time I am adding a handful of medium toast American oak chips to the secondary to see if I can get any closer to the Firestone character. GREAT KIT! I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice crisp and flavorful pale recipe.
