Meet the FerMonster Wide-Mouth Carboy! To enable easy cleaning, the FerMonster features smooth, ribless sides. This helps to reduce the residual yeast and sediment build-up. A 4" wide-mouth opening reduces spillage and the need for additional equipment when filling or cleaning the FerMonster.

Plastic Carboy Advantages

We've made many batches of wine with glass carboys, but decided to try the FerMonster plastic carboy for our latest wine. It is lighter and easier to move around for racking. The wide mouth makes thorough cleaning much easier to do.

DO NOT SOAK THE RUBBER LID LINING

Great fermentation vessel indeed. Only issue I've came across was that if you soak the ring that goes into the lip of the lid in hot water it stretches and you no longer are able to use that part anymore. Maybe you can apply some sort of heat to shrink it back but may risk melting it. Sucks that there aren't any replacements for this or that the lids are sold separately so you may be forced to replace the entire product. Other than that the wide mouth makes cleaning, transferring and dumping a breeze.
