Dale's Pale Ale (10A) - EXTRACT Homebrew Ingredient Kit

Brewed this from extract. While it is a nice tasting pale ale, it is a little light on the hoppiness compared to a Dale's.

This was my second batch at homebrewing because my girlfriend and I love Oskar Blues. This kit was absolutely fantastic! It replicates the Hoppy Pale Ale of Oskar Blues to the T! The hops were fresh and the instructions were perfect. I did a mini-mash and a 6 gallon boil. I allowed to primary for 7 days and then secondary (with dry hops) for 3 weeks. The beer pours with a beautiful aroma and has a great hop finish. I can't wait to brew this one again

Brewed this kit as Partial Mash on 11/27/2011 and drinking an aged one on 2/12/12. This is a really good pale ale/IPA, however compared to the original Oskar Blues Dale's Pale Ale its different. It has the same vibe and ballpark taste and bitterness, but IMO the malt profile and hops are different. In the end this is an awesome brew that I really enjoy drinking each of these. If I did it over again I would up the aroma hops and definitely dry hop with 1 - 2 ounces more than the suggested recipe.
