I have brewed this several times using Pale LME and this brew I used Munich LME. Wow, was I surprised at the flavor it produced. A notch up from the past brews of CL. Highly recommend this HME with either of the LME's. Salud to Cooper's Lager.
Wanted to follow Papazian's Dortmund Lager recipe as written so I ordered this "kit." Used SAFLager-S189 instead of Coopers's yeast. Fermented at 50∞F, 48hr diaceytal rest at 68∞F then lagered four weeks again at 50∞F. Delicious.
This kit produces a beautiful, tasty blond lager. I've had better (not homemade) but not often....and who doesn't take pride in producing a top quality beer?
