This one is a can't miss with everyone who enjoys any type of beer. I brewed this in hopes it would appease my wife and her friends. However, it was a hit with everybody, including myself. This will be one of my constant beers on tap. The strawberry flavoring is not as strong as I was expecting which is the way I prefer, instead it has a real nice subtle strawberry flavor. Well done AHS! I brewed this using the extract version and used a refrigerated fermentation at 50 degrees for approximately 10 days with an additional 3-4 days spent in a secondary at room temperature.

I did this one and it was a huge hit. I cut the extract in half, and added 1 LB of frozen strawberries to primary to get a little more action from my yeasty buddies. Also added a pinch of Irish moss to clear it up a bit due to the addition of fruit. The yeast I get from AHS (Wyeast with the cold pack) ...almost never activates. It didn't take off after a week, so I went to the local brew shop and grabbed another (so double yeast too...sort of). 2 weeks primary, filtered the chunks out in secondary (1 week). Kegged... It took about 3+ weeks for it to really come to life. It tasted alright on week 2...but week 3 and beyond were really awesome. I will definitely do this one again.

Currently drinking this lager. It surprised me a little and may be due to my beginner status, but this beer was fairly hoppy. I did primary/secondary as directed, then aged for a little over 2 months at 42 degrees. It is a pretty smooth beer but i wasn't sure about strawberry flavoring, so i did minnie kegs and added double amount of strawberry to one of them. The strawberry does balance out the hoppiness, has good nose to it, but does have that very slight medicinal aftertaste of flavorings. Having said that, the flavor was just added 7 days ago when i force carbed and may die back some. Overall good beer, never had pete's, but nothing close to abita strawberry (i dont think its suppost to be though) thanks for all the great kits ahs
