This black beer is dryer and hoppier than a dunkel. However, it still has a nice roasted malt bite with a hint of chocolate.

My first all grain kit and currently my beer of choice. Tastes very similar to Kostritzer Schwartzbier. Lager as per the instruction sheet. Tastes best after three weeks of conditioning. Overall one awesome beer, very drinkable and refreshing, nice head with perfect lacing.

This is a great beer. Brewed it up from the liquid extract kit. Fermented 30 days temperature controlled. It had a bitter bite on the back en on bottling day. A month in the bottle solved that. It is slightly crisp up front and then the roasted rolls right in. This is a good beer to compare to Kostritzer. I think it is even better because it is less bitter on the back side. Make this kit and stash it for a good layed back event. I will be brewing it again.
