My brew buddy and I were surprised by this brew. We both favor darker beers, and made this for a friend. My brew buddy actually swore to me up and down that he would never like a Pale Ale. We have since made this twice for him. We went through 5 gallons of this bad boy FAST once we kegged it up. We actually forgot about it in Secondary and dry-hopped for.....ahem......12 weeks. We just got busy and completely forgot about it. But all of our friends absolutely loved it. The dry hopping yields an amazing aroma, but none of the bitter finish you'd find in an IPA. Starts sweet and smooth, but finishes completely clean and refreshing.
This was a great beer, made twice. Added apricot favoring for an Apricot Ale. Turned out to be smooth with just a hint of apricot! Nice flavor and head. S.J. /Brewed in Texas
