Great recipe. I brewed the mini-mash and went ahead and dry hopped with an additional 3 oz of Nelson. Wonderful gooseberry and tropical fruit aromas, relatively mild bitterness. Great IPA for someone who appreciates the lighter, fruitier brews over the danker pinier brews. I recommend the dry hopping, especially if you're not brewing all-grain, to help make up for the less efficient hop extraction. Easy to brew, ready in just a couple weeks. Jump on it!

Brewed this on Superbowl Sunday with some friends. VERY nice balance of hops/malts with the highlight being the Nelson Sauvin hops. These are a very interesting hop and work well in an IPA or American Pale. The citrus/wine flavors really set this beer off. Great stuff!

Brewed this one for a summer BBQ. When fresh, the gooseberry and tropical aromas like passion fruit are more prevalent. Nice amount of bitterness to balance the crystal malt. It came out a bit darker than most IPAs most likely due to the use of Crystal 60. Definitely an IPA worth brewing as it showcases the Nelson Sauvin hop exclusively. Very few breweries are taking advantage of this interesting New Zealand hop.
