I brewed this a few weeks back and did an experiment by using yeast from an Ommegang Trippel bottle that I had drunk up. Was a little worried about it as that yeast is VERY active....I have a foam puddle in the basement to prove it. I thought it was something in addition to just yeast working and thought the experiment would end up down the drain, but much to my surprise after a couple weeks in the fermenter there didn't seem to be any off smells so on to bottling. Tasted a bit then and thought it was quite nice. Been a week and I couldn't help but open one up to double check how all was going. Has a great pale yellow head, bright golden color and the flavor is really good. This one is gonna be excellent with a bit of age.

I brewed this and served it as a small gift to my groomsmen. It was a hit at the rehearsal dinner. The fact that you don't have to steep any grains beforehand saves time. I love brewing big IPA's that require extended aging, but this kit is something you can bring to the table relatively quickly and it tastes great.
