This beer was delicious. All the instructions are easy to understand. It was my second all grain brew and I thought it came out great.
Really good & easy to make. Excellent Porter, not too sweet, rich taste! I will make this again.
This beer was my first brew - it was in primary for a week, secondary for a week and it's been in the bottle for a week. I couldn't help myself and I cracked one (and then a second) open today - it's absolutely glorious. Very dark, malty, noticeable Chocolate and Coffee flavors but very well balanced and smooth. An excellent porter and quite frankly, one of the best beers I've had in a long time. Since it's only been bottled a week it's slightly undercarbonated but that will change with time. I can't wait to see how much better it gets with age, as it's excellent right now. I used the Munton's dry yeast. Highly recommended and I will be brewing it again.
Added too much water (5.5gal) and made a "light" brown porter that was actually not bad. This seems like a no-frills, simple and reliable recipe.
