Great recipe although I do add some dry hops. Wonderful company with great service.
A low budget IPA kit. I replaced all the hopps in the kit with my own choices. Cenntenial, cascade, and dry-hopped with Amarillo. I brewed the mini-mash with wyeast liquid yeast . Even with my hopps, still a mild IPA,not bad,not great.
Brewed this about 6 weeks ago now. Left in primary for four. Dry hopped with 1 oz of Amarillo for a week. Has been in the bottle for a week. Set aside three bottles to taste for each week of conditioning. The first bottle obviously tells me it needs to grow up a little still, but you can tell this is going to be a really tasty beer!
This is a great recipe. I used the notty and let it ferment around 64 for about 2-3 weeks in primary. I took note of one of the post on here and dry hopped with amarillo for 7 days. This puppy turned out great. Not too heavy, it can be a little heady but thats most likely user error. After 3-4 weeks in the bottle this one is really coming into it's own. Will brew again for sure.
Brewed the extract version...its now had a month and a week in the bottles and it is quite smooth and delicious...firm bitterness but not too harsh...also I dry hopped with 1oz Amarillo...definitely gave it a great aroma
