Abbey of Leffe Bruin Abbey Ale (16) - EXTRACT Homebrew Ingredient Kit

My co-workers and I travel to Belgium frequently and are big fans of the Belgian Dubbels. This Leffe Bruin is a fantastic beer. Does not matter if it is or is not identical to Leffe itself because it just tastes great. I also highly recommend the Westemalle Dubbel. Great kit and great taste. Let it age. It is fantastic after 6 months if you can tolerate the wait. Just make lots of beer and let them age. You will be rewarded.

All Grain version is fairly close, however I would highly recommend using WY3787 and a 1.5L starter. Pitch at 62F and let rise to 75F.

This was just my second batch and it turned out great. I was looking for a Belgian dubbel clone although I had never tasted a Leffe Bruin. In a side by side taste test with a New Belgium Abbey Ale, it was almost dead on with the taste, just slightly darker. I will certainly brew this one again.

Have had plenty of the real thing and this brew is spot on! The longer it's aged the better.

My wifes favorite and not available in the states. She loves it when I brew this one. As close to the original as I've seen.
