Want to make a Yeast Starter? Home brewers are always led to believe making a yeast starter is for the advanced brewer. This could not be further from the truth. If anything beginning brewers should start with yeast starters. When you think about it they are nothing more than a small extract brew. Show Me How To Make A Yeast Starter

Yeast

It worked just fine. I had no issues with it at all. The beer had a great taste to it.

Not over impressed

It has nothing to do with your supply store but a lot to do with White Labs. Iíve done close to over 60 yeast starters and always had inefficiency with WL liquid yeast. Had a stalled fermentation and added a couple packs of Safale 05 and it turned out fantastic! Seems if I do a starter with Wyeast or Omega ( which really isnít necessary with this brand) I have very little issues to none. Imperial yeast is fantastic!! I think White Labs need to focus on building a stronger cell base like Omega and Imperial has to stay competitive.
