It is easy and convenient to make, requiring no PH adjustments and no acid adjustments. Simply dilute one gallon of wine base with four gallons of clean water, pitch yeast, and stir.

Like a sweet red wine. Really enjoyed this one. Best fruit for wine I have tried yet.
My experiences with these wine bases in Strawberry has been it's pretty good but a bit thin at the suggested recipe levels. With the Blackberry, instead of a gallon with 4 gallons of water, I've been using 1/2 gallon of the base with 1 1/2 gallons of water, blended in fermentation with a gallon of water and a gallon of BlackCherry/Grape juice (for body) and a bag of 2 lbs of crushed frozen blackberries and sugar in the total to a specific gravity that will produce a 13% ABV in the total of 4 gallons fermenting. It's like a combination of a fresh from start blackberry wine with the absolute assurance of a decent wine the base gives you. This way, my gallon of base eventually creates 8 gallons of an excellent wine, with great "legs'' /body , nice ABV, and just a hint of the blackberry flavor. To me this combining made from start with the easy base is like wearing both a belt and suspenders. It might sound funny but it holds your pants up perfectly every time.
Excellent for making wine. Strong flavor and clear. Made several batches of blackberry wine with 1 1/2 gallons of base for 6 gallon carboy. Medium wine with semi sweet taste.
