Species: British Ales
Fermentation Temp Range (Degrees F): 62-72
Apparent Attenuation Range (%): 69-75
Flocculation: Medium
Alcohol Tolerance: 0.12
Cell Count: 150 Billion

Pitching/Fermentation: Ireland's storied stout is thought to be balanced by this dry, crisp, lightly fruity, versatile and powerful strain. A good fermenter with reliable, average flocculation (some diacetyl possible), and a hint of fruit at the lowest recommended temperatures, which increases in complexity at higher temperatures (64+ Degrees F). Successful in dark and high gravity beers. Slainte!

Want to make a Yeast Starter? Home brewers are always led to believe making a yeast starter is for the advanced brewer. This could not be further from the truth. If anything beginning brewers should start with yeast starters. When you think about it they are nothing more than a small extract brew. Show Me How To Make A Yeast Starter

Omega is doing it right

I donít always use Omega yeasts, but every time I do the results are amazing. I wanted to make an Irish Red and a Dry Stout for the beer drinking holiday in March. I ordered the Irish strain from AHS, made a 1 liter starter and pitched it. It blew through the Red in 2 days because the yeast was so fresh to start with. The starter was only because I was making 10 gallon batches. Harvested from the secondary and pitched it in the stout. Both beers are clean and exactly as planned.
