Mt. Hood is an aroma variety with marked similarities to the German Hallertau and Hersbrucker varieties. This was the first hop in the triploid Hallertau breeding program to be released. Beer styles that typically utilize this hop include lagers, pilsners, bocks, wheats, alts, and Munich Helles.
