Not too bad

I've used these for my last 4 extract batches and they work great. Only problem I've had is when I stepped on one, oops!!!

Not always ideal

This ball doesn't hold much (I brew 5 gallon all grain batches). Additionally, the ball can often open in the kettle negating the utility of the ball to prevent valve clogs. It's not all bad though, it does work and when it does it helps. If you're brewing smaller batch IPAs and Pale Ales, give it a go but if you're doing 3 gallons or more with highly hopped beers maybe grab one of the larger hop canisters.
