Close Clone

This is the closest clone Iíve ever brewed. Smooth and flavorful. Good color and nice head, even when kegged with CO2.

Brewed and keged on nitrogen this is as good or better than the stuff from ireland.

This clone matches up pretty well the real draught but falls short on the distinctive Guinness sourness. Would probably need a little acid malt or soured beer added to get the true flavor. Since I don't have kegging equipment I couldn't get the nitrogen cascade effect but the beer still have a great mouth feel and taste. I actually enjoy it more than the real thing. I do think that the hops are little over powering depending on your boil size so be cautious of that. Overall, I would definitely brew this again.

Extract kit with alc boost, 9 days in primary 14 in secondary 5.2%. Nice beer, you certainly get close to a Guinness flavor/style but not quite the same. Mine was a little thinner and noticeable difference in the head retention (this was expected). All and all this made an excellent beer that was ready in time for St Patty's day. Everyone that had one noticed the difference but enjoyed it. Bottled the first 2.5 normal and then added close to a full thing of green food coloring to the second 2.5. When poured you were left with a nice green head and it didn't affect the flavor at all. I would like to do this again with a nitro set up if possible. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a Guinness clone.

Brewed this multiple times. OMG ! Being as I am from Scotland, I have downed many a pint of draught Guinness. This has to be by far the best Home Brew that not only I have made for myself but also for several guests. Lots of people actually told me it was better than the canned Guinness we had as a standby if we ran out.. (We Did) Anyhow, this brew is just fantastic... Get it NOW !!!!
