It's been a while and this was way more crafty then previously used, however enjoyed the process and the beer tastes and looks fantastic. The beer in bottle was at bottling day. Looking forward to the next brew day. This time using a burner and NOT the cook top as that was to slow.
It tastes so much like the real thing this is a repeat brew as supplies are going too fast.
Spot on bitter. Perfect for cask ale.
Made up a batch a month ago. It says to wait 3 weeks before drinking, but that wasn't enough time. About 5 weeks in, it was amazing! Rich, well-balanced, and not overly bitter. It was just like sitting at the pub in London. If you like British real ales, this is your beer. Will definitely make it again!
Made this as my first beer. As commented earlier it got better after about 4 weeks. I tasted one each week and by the 4th week the carbonation was correct. This is a bit fuller(pun intended) than the original but delicious on it's own. Made corned beef from scratch for St Patrick's Day and this beer was perfect with it. I chill it for about an hour for the aromas and flavors to be at their best. I brewed the mini mash version.
