Bought these a few years ago. Loved the bottles and the idea of just flipping the tops to seal rather than messing with my capper. Only an occasional brewer so I'm guessing I've only bottled 5 or 6 times now with these. On my last batch, the seal didn't stay on four of the bottles and I had to dump their contents down the drain. There was nothing wrong with the rubber gaskets so my guess is the metal clasps have too much give in them, are too high of a gauge to take the loads (they can be bent easily by hand), or quality control in their forming was lax . In any case, these are likely going in the recycle bin and I'm back to using bottles with caps (which have never failed me in 30 years of brewing). Too bad, because I loved them while they worked. Funny, I've never had this problem with re-used Grosch or other flip-top bottles I've been using for this purpose; those typically last a zillion years until the rubber gaskets get too old and cracked. It is also unfortunate these bottles aren't apparently designed for alternate use with bottle caps (didn't work, at least, when I tried with my standard capper).
