Day 15. Kegging. It's so good and clear. I don't know how the original taste but what I brewed is Tasty!
Unbelievable grapefruit citrus extraveganza! Only 5.5% alcohol.... for those in the know of Moose's Tooth Fairweather IPA, this is almost a twin!
This is one tasty, citrussy IPA! I haven\'t had it side by side to Avery\'s to see how close they are, but I\'m pretty sure it\'s a close match. After only two weeks in the bottle (and three in primary), mine poured out with a full head over an orange body (I do think Avery\'s is more yellow than orange in color, if I remember correctly). The aroma is wonderful: lots of citrus hops. Same goes for the taste where light malts provide just enough support for the delicious hop character. Body seems about right with a medium consistency. This was my seventh brew (mini mash w/ Windsor dry yeast) and by far my best hoppy ale. I\'m sure I\'ll make lots of different IPA kits in the future, but this is one I\'ll be certain to make again....and again. Even if you haven\'t had Avery\'s IPA, but you\'re a fan of citrussy/fruity IPAs, you should make this. I\'m sure you\'ll be pleased.
