I saw this on sale and figured I could get it in a keg by May if I used the Omega Yeast Lutra Kveik. I followed the directions but added 1.5 pounds of honey with 15 minutes left in the boil. I fermented around 70 degrees. Primary and seconday, had it in the keg in 2 weeks. One week later and the beer is super clear and crisp with just a hint of honey. FG = 1.009 ABV = 7.5%. For $27.99 total, it is a great beer.
AHS has spoiled me making kits that are easy and quick turning what could be an afternoon brewing to a couple of hours. While I still brew all grain most of the time the mini mashes have made it easy to produce a very good beer quickly. The kits and instructions are great and easily modified if you want to tweek the profile.
I can't rate the kit per se as I added a bunch more stuff to it to make a Honey Double Mai Bock. Finished out at 10.5%. Fantastic!
