Dark Red, Not Too Heavy

Just like the previous reviews, this beer was not at all what I was expecting. "Hoppy" seems like a misnomer, but considering it isn’t too heavy on the malt flavor it might not be that far off, it’s really more reliant on bittering hops instead of hop aromas or flavors. In fact, even though this is a dark, DARK red beer, it’s surprisingly well balanced and not too rich. At first I wasn’t a fan, but after aging it for over two months this is an enjoyable brew.

I completely agree with the previous comment on all counts. Not very hoppy, and not really a red ale. The beer is decent but not what I was hoping for. I think this one will get better with a few months of aging.

Fermented this with US-05 dry yeast. Not particularly "hoppy"
