A good, solid Porter with no frills. Sometimes you just need a good, simple dark beer, and this does the trick. As usual, aging 2-3 months resulted in a super smooth and enjoyable flavor with no bitterness but still a hint of hops.
Brewed this mini-mash with Pacman yeast I had rinsed and saved. This is a lovely porter - smooth, flavorful, not overly hoppy. The Pacman left the flavor very clean, not too fruity. I fermented cool, around 60 degrees. So far, my favorite porter that I've brewed. Tasty, highly drinkable - not too filling. Perfect when you want a dark ale that won't fill you up after just one bottle. I will brew this again.
