AHS Christmas Milk Stout (13B) - EXTRACT

I bought this because I was in the mood for a milk stout this time of year and I've never brewed a stout before and wouldn't know where to start for a recipe so I bought the kit. I got the brainy idea to do a coffee milk stout after the primary was finished so I added 9oz. of ground coffee in a bag to the secondary and let it sit for 3 days in the secondary. All the numbers came out just fine so I'm assuming it would have turned out as it should have had I not put the coffee in and I should have known better with all the spice that was in this one not to put so much coffee in. This will be the first beer that I will dump since I've started and I'm about 15 batches into my experience so far. It may have been fine with about 3-4oz. of coffee for a day but 9 oz. for 3 days just tastes horrible. I've had about 2 gallons out of the keg so far but I have a pretty tasty IPA waiting to go in and I can't handle this anymore so it's going down the drain. Bummer. Oh well, I'll try another stout next winter.
