This was the first recipe using all grain. I always read that you should start with a dark beer as they are more forgiving.
I read the instructions several times before starting my brew. For the most part the instructions were clear enough, and from the extract brewing I had done before I pretty much knew how to brew.
I am VERY upset that the instructions did not include how much priming sugar to add to the brew before bottling. I had usually put in 4-5 oz per 5 gallons in previous recipes so I did that here. Unfortunately this turned out to be TOO MUCH and all of my beer is over carbonated to the point where the foam shoots out of the bottles like a fire extinguisher.
I really hope that you will review your recipes and make sure that you provide ALL the information needed for a successful brew. I may or may not order from you in the future but if I do I will check the recipe to make sure it specifies the amount of priming sugar for correct carbonation. My money and time was wasted on this purchase.
