Belgian Bastogne Ale Yeast White Labs
WLP510
Species : Ale
Fermentation Temp Range (°F) : 66-72
Apparent Attenuation Range (%) : 74-80
Flocculation : Medium
Alcohol Tolerance : High 10-15%
Pitching/Fermentation : From a Belgian monastery where monks traditionally made beer, this yeast produces the distinctive fruitiness and plum characteristics. Excellent yeast for high gravity beers, Belgian ales, dubbels and trippels.
Notes : A high gravity, Trappist style ale yeast. Produces dry beer with slight acidic finish. More ‘clean’ fermentation character than White Labs 500 or White Labs 530. Not as spicy as White Labs 530 or White Labs 550.
Best Styles : Belgian Blonde/Dubbel/Trippel/Golden Strong/Quadrupel
