Good Pale Ale, but....

This is a very well balanced, and smooth beer/recipe. Everyone that has tried this, loved it; We will surely blow through this keg quickly. There's just one problem, it does not taste like Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

I made the mini-mash kit and I do like this IPA (very drinkable) but it falls short of matching Sierra Nevada Pale Ale... I'd definitely buy it again though... Might go for the 1% boost next time cause it seems a little light compared to Sierra... I even think my color is slightly lighter. The clarity seems great... good head retention... I did follow the directions 100%, and waited 2 weeks after bottling before posting this review (although I did cheat and open 1 early because I was out of high gravity beer in the house... don't do it... it needs time to condition in the bottle)... If you are looking for a dead match of Sierra this is not it... however if you like Sierra, you will probably also like this beer.

I made this mini-mash June 19 with the 1% boost, and after 4 weeks in the bottle, the results have been a rousing success with my family and friends. I will definitely make this one again!

Brewed this as a request from a friend to take to the Texas Mile. I was worried because the beer only had 3 weeks in the bottle. It was a big hit. Tasted awesome! Looks like I will be making this one again!

Just cracked open a bottle of my second batch of this kit. Again, it is a DELICIOUS brew!! As my process is improving, so are the beers. Color was improved (lightened) this time by boiling half of the LME for only 15 minutes. I can NOT tell the difference between this batch and a SN Pale in a side by side. Wonderful!!!
