No instruction sheet enclosed. Cust Srv told me that Austin no longer provides them. All grains in same bag, so don't know what I got! Cardboard shipping box too thin, and NO ice pack as ordered just a cheap padded paper envelope. Austin, this is a fair and honest review, if you are fair honest and not as CHEAP as this fulfillment suggests YOU SHOULD POST THIS!
I buy them mainly for the liquid extract at a very low price
This is by far the best beer I've made yet. Very, very close to original, in fact I can hardly tell the difference. I bottled it 2.5 weeks ago, and just now got decent carb level. Highly recommend this to anyone, no altering to the recipe required at all.
This is more of a review of Austin Home Brew. When my shipment arrived and I unpacked it the lid to a 5lb LME had come off and the LME spilled all over making a huge mess. I contacted Austin Home Brew who instantly shipped out a replacement LME and after learning of the carpet mess even compensated me for that! Austin Home Brew is A1, 5 STAR or how ever you rate top notch service!
I drank Bell's Two Hearted growing up in Michigan, and after brewing many AHB original recipes, thought that I should see what the commercial clones were all about. To be absolute delight, this recipe is spot on. Sat in primary for three weeks, doubled up on the Centennial dry hopping for the last week, and went straight to bottles. Tried my first one yesterday after 6 weeks, and had to double take my surroundings that I wasn't watching sunset on the beaches of Lake Michigan!
